There was a time where sasuke used his sharingan to brainwash someone. when him and team taka were looking for killer bee, he used his sharingan on someone to make them tell him where Bee was. And they said it out loud to him like when kabuto told itachi how to undo the reanimating jutsu, all robotic and monotone. So maybe this “seeing memories” thing is an extension of that. His sharingan has just gotten stronger.
