Yep, that set is actually so insane, it wouldn't be possible in real life. So while Hinata is learning the basics of a quick attack with all kinds of different setters(learning to fight in midair), what Kageyama is doing is extremly difficult, and just as fast as before, he isn't really slowing it down. Because like you said, that would kind of defeat the purpose, since speed is literally Hinatas thing.

Not sure if I understood you right but what Kageyama is practicing isn't a "basic" set. He's trying to do an even crazier precise set where the ball stops exactly at a specific point which I'm pretty sure none of the other teams/setters would be able to do. I couldn't really tell if you guys got that so I wanted to mention it just in case. Love the reactions btw<3
