I don't mind high school stuff in general, but I'm kinda aging out of it as well and the different vibe is nice - it's also based on a novel rather than the usual manga/light novel. other notes: - both the dog and haiji making strong early cases for 'best boy' - I forgot how they just throw all the characters at you at once, but the introductions are efficient enough to make it work - a few friends are trying to rope me into running a long-distance relay next year because of this series so yes, the inspiration is real haha
