Run With The Wind Eps 15-23 FINALE UNCUT!!!

Comments

Thank you for that shot of dopamine lol. I enjoyed this show the first time I watched it, but I think I actually enjoyed it even more this time around. I tore my achilles back in February. I really miss being active. I miss running. Motivation in recovery/rehab rides up and down in waves, especially with how much time has passed, but this journey with y'all has been fueling a sort of runner's high for me these past few weeks-- something I haven't experienced in a while. Thank you.

same i wish there was more, but with an ending like that, i wouldnt have it any other way this show was next level

Started watching this thanks to you guys and omfg what a journey, it's sO GOOD!! I wish we had more RWTW content but that ending was a 10/10 so I can't complain lol

thanks for the discussions! it's unfortunate the series is underwatched compared to other YouTube reactions, but its been really fun following along :-). The last five episodes are an incredible climax in how they pay off each character's story and draw out so many emotions, in ways you wouldn't necessarily expect (like King's segment). it's inspired SO MANY people to at least try running as well haha as for suggestions... Ping Pong the Animation! also a little underwatched tbh (and a different studio), but I think it transcends the sports anime label, in a good way. it's got a very unique style and encapsulates a ton of interesting themes. this season is definitely pretty packed though, so I totally understand if you pause the sports stuff for a bit.

thanks so much for the support. We're gonna be doing a longer podcast video like the one with haikyuu, but man this show was different. I havent been going for very long, but this show actually made me start running some mornings, and I didnt think i'd like it as much as i do. I just feel so inspired when I think about it! thanks again for your pledge and for sticking with us through this journey!

This reaction series was well worth going to your patreon!! I was following your haikyuu reactions on YouTube and as soon as I heard that you were doing RWTW I knew I had to follow the uncut content. This series holds such an important place in my heart. It’s soo special and unique in it’s genre and it is honestly a masterpiece. I don’t care what anyone says, the Hakone Ekiden (ep18-23) is one of the best arcs in anime! Without question. It elevated this already incredible show to something that is almost transcendent. Haiji and Kakeru are some of the best protagonist duos out there. The moment when Kakeru realised that the answer to the question that they were seeking “what does it mean to run?” Was Haiji … I get choked up just thinking about. Haiji is the sun to Kakeru’s star. If Kakeru is the physical manifestation of what it means to be a runner then Haiji is most definitely the mental manifestation of being a runner. It’s just soo damn beautiful! Such a pleasure to watch you both fall in love with this show. Thank you soo much for giving this underrated masterpiece a chance. It’s a real gem ❤️ For recommendations I absolutely adore Ace of the Diamond. It’s a high school baseball anime that follows in the style of what you have seen soo far with the sport anime genre and that is REALISM. It really delves into what it takes to be a competitive young athlete both physically and mentality. It’s on the longer side but soo worth you time. Currently AyoLaxzone is watching and is basically crying in every other episode bless him 😄

Conclusion from this anime: FUCK SCHOOL :))

DarkshadowDX

Works teams are a thing that is common in Japan but not unique to it. They're basically teams that are sponsored by a company, usually a manufacturing company or a business. The skill level for them ranges broadly from amateur to professional, and in some cases, those teams are made up of their own employees (in these cases, they're very much company teams). Lots of sports clubs start out as a works team before growing into a much larger thing (i.e. the Chicago Bears in the US started out as a works team. I guess one way to think of it is that for a lot of sports, high school is the last chance that many people have for taking them seriously. Sure, some play them at the college level and maybe go professional, but those are the people that get scouted and are really good at what they do. Works teams are one way of playing sports as an adult beyond just a once in a while activity, along with other options like neighborhood teams.

Thank you both for such great reactions to this show. RWTW is my favourite anime, and it was so worth the Patreon membership to see the uncuts.
