Sakura trained and would do missions with other ninja. Kakashi had not trained with her till bell test 2. Her taijutsu improvement during that time was via Tsunade's training. Kakashi aslo hasn't lead team seven since the rescue Gara arc. Yamato is the current leader of team 7 as Kakashi is needed for other things right now.
