2021-04-27 16:38:08 +0000 UTCSadly they really should have done the one year time skip. Just have asked Kishimoto to outline a good side story to tell or something. Because the pressure put on him was one of the contributing factor to Kishimoto wanting to finish the manga sooner rather than later.

2021-04-27 16:36:13 +0000 UTCYou are correct the events of episode 175 in the manga was the original end of this part of the story. It was to be followed by a 1 year time skip. However, the popularity had grown to the point the time skip was thrown out. As the anime at the point it was just started growing in viewers and they felt a time skip and a part 3 would hurt that growth. But yes the next arc is considered as part 3. Remember there is no Naruto Shippuden manga it is all one story, just Naruto. I personally like this as and end to the series over what we eventually get. Not to say that it is bad I just find this conclusion to work better for me. I also don't watch the anime after a certain point myself. Like with Naruto part one most of what happens till the final episode is just more filler and I choose not to watch filler. But I do know a lot of the stuff that happens is pretty well received.
