She is correct. Kars saw nature as something that was above him. The manga showcases this much more clearly. Kars despises human life for what it has been doing to nature, even way back then. Kars loved mother nature enough that we was willing to protect it. However, he has become one with nature himself. He no longer feels as though he needs to preserve life, because he can CREATE life itself no matter what on this earth. Disposing life means nothing to him when he can make more than what he's wroght
