Without revealing spoilers, the time line is that the Village Hidden in the Mist became known as the Bloodmist Village sometime after Madara Uchiha "died" in his battle with Hashirama. There are a lot of reveals coming in the episodes that fill this in. Kiri was founded by the First Mizukage to be a village kind of like Konoha where the shinobi clans could come together to raise their children safely. But they started with a rigid three or four tiered caste system with most of the kekkei genki bearing clans at the top. During his long exile Madara manipulated the events their to turn them into the Bloody Mist. After Rin's death, which you know the reason for Carson, Yagura was a small child whom Madara manipulated into becoming the 3 tails Jinchuriki. Its not said or shown in the manga or anime but its indicated that Madara and the Obito as Madara's tool further manipulated things to make Yagura become the Fourth Mizukage and to begin a despotic reign where he led to the extermination of the kekkei genki bearing clans. Kishimoto never spells out the reasoning. Fan theory is that Madara and Obito were looking to eliminate a very powerful group of shinobi clans who also had abilities that they would have found inconvenient. In the shaky timeline that Kishimoto has retconned to hell, Yagura is somewhat younger than Anko and somewhat older than Itachi. Anko is like 3 or 4 years younger than Kakashi though with the fuzzy timeline, she could be 1 to 2 years younger than him.

There is a theory that says that as Kakashi passes out when he gets the Mangekyou he didn't knew about it until Itachi uses the Tsukuyomi on him back at the classic Naruto, so Kakashi kinda copy the Mangekyou from Itachi

To understand obito you must understand that Rin isn’t everything. Obito is a war child and soldier at a very young age as witness many deaths and has had to end many as well. Rin dying is the last straw, it’s when he fully commits to the idea of a world without suffering.
