I'm sorry but I've never come across a lot of the information you've said here so I was wondering if you had a source for any of them? Kishimoto said he had already thought out Kakashi's backstory by the time he was introduced, and that becomes obvious if you read the manga anyway, since on the cover of chapter 16 Kakashi clearly has a team photo of Obito, Rin and Minato and that's really early into the Land of Waves arc. There does seem to be some ret-conning with the timeline and their ages though

The reveal of why Obito lost his mind, that particular episode, which you have seen now and which is a couple of episodes is one of the best "darkest" episodes ever. I do think that a little bit of nuance is lost with the english translation used. If you read the subtitles on a rewatch for this sequence of episodes (from like two episodes before Naruto befriends Kurama), you might gain a little bit. When Kishimoto first wrote everything through the Wave arc and the original version of the Chunin exams (the original version had no Konoha Crush and no Sannin) Obito and Rin did not exist. He also had not decided to make the Fourth out to be Naruto's father. Kakashi was burnt out from the 3rd Shinobi war because he lost his father and was a child soldier. To make the established Kakashi story work when he developed the background, he made Rin and Obito and their whole class a couple of years younger to be early graduates to be used in the mill of death that the Third War was. Kakashi was already a Chunin during his team being in that Chunin exam, he was a Chunin when Rin and Obito graduated. The backstory he added in, which really was more through the anime was that Kakashi was basically fucked up in his head like Itachi. And that Minato took him onto his team Seven as a last chance for Kakashi. Minato realized that Kakashi needed a father and stepped in. This became the retconned in reason why Kakashi specifically asked for Naruto to be his student and the secret plan that Kakashi and Jiraiya had to prepare and train Naruto from the neglect and miseducation he had received in the Academy. You will notice a lot of this stuff on a rewatch. YOu guys should plan a sort of maybe abbreviated rewatch in a couple of years,. Its fascinating to reconsider the events of Naruto in light of all the retcons made. To see which ones worked well and which ones did not.

This was the episode that weight was literally LIFTED from my shoulders. I could feel my body loosen up from a year and a half's worth of secrecy and protecting her from the truth. Its crazy that against all odds, she wasn't spoiled, and I consider that a serious feat. Anyone that says I'm bad to watch stuff with, doesn't know about my anti spoiler jutsu.
