definitely have to agree with above statement. Tobirama was a much more realistic and practical leader compared to Hashirama who kind of brought everything together because nobody could actually beat the guy. That's almost no different from using force tbh. Tobirama knew the threat of the Uchiha, he's seen it time and time again and how dangerous their potential is. They literally are a clan that love so much that it becomes hate. He never insulted the Uchiha clan and had nothing personal against them. He's simply watching out for the village as a whole's well being. While yes, you can say he could "trust" them but after Madara and years of observing the Uchiha, I honestly doubt he would do that so easily.

2021-09-18 11:14:20 +0000 UTCSaying Tobirama didn't make things better is not fair to the character (I'm writing this since you mentioned that you watched the backstory already). He created the entire shinobi system at work today. And although it's not perfect and causing more issues, at least it's not 2000 years of war, which his brother ended (with his help) but he was the one creating laws and rules for peace afterwards. Even during Hashirama's time as Hokage he was basically the ruler. His feelings aside (which he talks about very honestly and is definitely NOT racist towards the Uchiha) , his innovations and achievements still fall on the positive side of the scale. One of the most misunderstood characters out there, mainly because anime changed a couple of things about him and removed a few dialogues from manga. I hope after the mini-arc you can revisit his character and give your thoughts (although you don't really like characters in "grey" area for some reason) . Even though he has less screen time I think he's more complex than Hashirama (who's basically Naruto).
