You really don't have to listen to those people who shit on Skypiea (It will keep happen in the future arc as well) It just a difference kind of arc and for me, I much prefer Skypiea over Alabasta anyday. In the end it just depend on people taste and It's a fact that everyone doesn't like the same thing period.

How's that anime? I've read the manga but I haven't seen the anime. I have heard that they did extend the ending so that it is not as abrupt as the manga which would be good. I also heard that most of the first two volumes were skipped in the anime which sucks because I really liked those chapters.

The Zolo and Zoro thing going on in this episode is pretty much what you guessed. The L's and R's are interchangeable. VIZ has the translation be ZOLO while Crunchyroll has it as Zoro and sometimes Zolo.

There's a recurring joke in this arc about the "notorious menace of the backstreets", Michael and Hoichael, lol. The train station officers were talking about them as their guess for the suspects of who targeted Iceberg. And now Peeply Lulu (the magical hair dude) and Tilestone thought it was them too lmao. Keep your eye out for passing references to Michael and Hoichael.

About the Skypeia comment towards the end: I don't take the negativity towards that arc badly, and instead its just a giant compliment because... Skypeia is just fantastic. I love it wholeheartedly for a lot of reasons. And yet... It feels like such a small piece of the story, heavily shadowed by utter greatness that's hard to explain until you've made the journey yourself. One Piece is a modern odyssey of a story. And that feeling of increasing greatness doesn't stop. So in the spirit of this episode: Full steam ahead, and enjoy! :)
