By moment where n that final episode that kinda shows Gon’s questionable morality. They just released a serial killer hack that into the world because he was useful to them. Now obviously Bisky and a Killua didn’t put up a fight so it’s not all on Gon but to chastise the Phantom Troupe members for killing innocents and then thank another murderer kinda shows where his allegiance lies. Anything can be forgiving if u help me or my friends. Not anything crazy for anime since we see characters getting second chances after a “change of heart” but it illustrates the point appraisal man spoke on about gon not caring about right or wrong and that making him dangerous.

Also, doing one 5 episode run is good because this arc is 17 episodes. 5, 4, 4 and 4 would split it well. The next arc is 61 episodes, so doing 15 4 episoders and 1 5 episode one would be effective. Though tbh given how slow (but amazing and perfect) that arc is, doing a couple more 5 episoders (if you can find the time, of couse) may be worthwhile.

On the Japanese pronounciations: Ging is spelled ジン, or Jin (pronounced like "jeen"), in Japanese. Gintama is spelled ぎんたま, or Gintama (geent-aw-maw). So while they're both spelled with Gs in English, they're spelled with different characters in Japanese. Ging is not a Japanese name, though, hence why it's spelled with a different alphabet than Gintama (katakana vs. hiragana). As such, even though there's technically no second G in Japanese, it'd be correct to still pronounce it as if it were there. So "jeeng." For your reference, Ghibli is spelled ジブリ, or Jiburi (jee-boo-lee), so it's NOT pronounced with a hard G, but with a J. As you might have noticed, the Ji character in Ghibli is the same as the one in Ging, so Ghibli is a non-Japanese word spelled with katakana. An easy way to tell if a word is katakana or hiragana (other than hiragana being curvier in general) is to look at the romaji (direct English version). Gintama is Gintama. Ghibli is Jiburi. Ging is Jin. Since Gintama is the same in romaji as in its English translation, it's probably a Japanese word. Since Ghibli and Ging are different, that means it's probably not a Japanese word. Not that that helps you in any way, but it's still fun to think about.

A lot of people too probably just watched the first couple of episodes and decided it wasn't for them and that that somehow means that the show is massively overrated and bad. I think it's dumb to call anything overrated - you're saying it should be less popular than it is? That's kind of dicky to both the fanbase and more importantly the creators who put their heart into it. You can dislike something more than most people do (everyone does), and you're not wrong, but I think it's ridiculous to claim something should get less love when all it does is make people happy.

I think that most people who hate on hxh have never seen it. People want to see you reacting to their favorite shows, so if an anime they haven't seen is about to get choosen here, they will badmouth them to prevent you from watching it. That happens all the time for all reactors.

Hi Ruff ! New patreon sub here. Just a heads up in case you missed it : in episode 63, when Binolt is leaving, Bisky is talking about Gon's pure nature and how it could be his undoing. I find it interesting how it recalls what Zepile also said about him being gueninely interested about crook techniques without judging it. I love this discreet, yet fine addition to Gon's caracter which makes him more than a simple minded shonen protagonist. :-)

I know you said before "how could anyone hate this show?" Its strange because (from my experience), Hunter x Hunter and One Piece are the two anime that get the most shit. I think it's cause of OP's length and HxH's complexities. These are both in my Top 5 best animes, along with Fairy Tail, FMA: Brotherhood and My Hero Academia, so I've never understood the hate on them. Anyway, you're probably sick of reading my babble but I love your reactions!!

If you're going to read the manga, you might as well read ahead of the anime. Hunter x Hunter has huge hiatuses, it's been over 2 years since the last chapter came out, it's highly unlikely that we will get a continuation of the anime any time soon.
