That dinner scene is one of the best scenes of any show ever if you ask me

Okay. I'm annoyed. Luke asked her to postpone and Lorelai agreed! Yeah, it sucks but that's what the COUPLE agreed! Sookie butting in and talking her out of it, costing her money because the longer you hold off on cancelling, the harder it is to get refunds! Was STUPID! They could of pushed the wedding to the following June! A One year wait so Luke can bond with April, is fair! Especially given how many years Luke has wanted her and waited for Lorelai to be ready! Lorelai promised Luke she'd postpone it.

That last scene is just so iconic. I think my favorite part is how the argument somehow came back to Lorelai not getting married after she got pregnant. Just amazing that it circled back around to an argument they've probably had dozens of times over the years.

I do think it’s lame that Lorelai had to call her parents for something Rory definitely should have done 🤔

Such a great ep! And great commentary, thank you for not doing the “lalalas” and imitating babette 😂😂

The dinner scene is so iconic. The handheld camera (unusual for GG indeed!) showing the back and forth of their fight, followed by a whole rollercoaster of shots and emotions. "What kind of sorbet is this? Really good." Screams, laughs, calm moments, fighting again, running around, sitting together. I thought of this scene when you said in one of the earlier EPs that they "needed to have a talk". LOL, probably not the talk you imagined, but a nice and real and so entertaining release of built-up tension. Also, the episode title "Friday Night's Alright For Fighting" is a reference to an Elton John song called "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting".

That is so beautifully done, also visually.

Could be overwhelming in combination with the "lalala" impressions, though ;)

That last five minutes is one of the best scenes in the show, period.
And this episode is one of the reasons why I’m Team Logan. He gets Rory professionally.

Lorelai's impression of Emily at Yale was meant to be a take on Queen Elizabeth lol. "Spit spot, alert the corgis"

A Lorelai quote that aged well: "He's totally fine having his personal freedom slowly stripped away, as long as he's completely unaware that it's happening. Just like a true American." *sighs in american* :(
