Perfect Blue (1997) MOVIE REACTION

MOVIE REACTIONS ARE BACK BABY!!!
From now on at the start of each month, we will be reacting to a new anime movie here on patreon!
We've wanted to watch this movie for years and Satoshi Kon did not disappoint! It was a crazy ride and we're not entirely sure what to think about it.

Our next movie choices are between:
Carson's choice: Angel's Egg (Carson watched it 8 years ago)
Lindsay's choice: Ride your Wave (Neither have seen)

Which would you guys like to see next?

Enjoy!

Unfortunately already seen that, that would have been good for a reaction One of the best movies ever made for sure

One of my favourite anime movies for sure! The way Satoshi Kon directed his works to blur the line between real and dream/fiction was genius, really sad that he passed away relativaly young. Also watched Angel's Egg many years ago (and don't remember much of it), definitely would like to re-watch it at some point too

Damn, wasn't expecting this. One of my favourite anime movies, can't wait to see the reaction. Btw I highly recommend watching "Grave of the Fireflies" if you haven't seen it yet, that's probably my favourite anime movie, a really emotional one too.

Looking forward to more movie reactions! Angel's Egg is one of my favourites (also watched it a long time ago - about 5 years), so that would be my pick. Happy to hear you enjoyed Perfect Blue. I will need to work up some courage to watch it again/watch your reaction.

Great. Satoshi Kon used animation to push the direction of the intersection of reality and fiction. What made this direction possible was his overwhelming drawing ability, and he was a genius who could not be replaced.
