She has understood and learned from before and really can understand somewhat what Gon is feeling, and thus gives him the honest truth, time to grieve, and warning in general. Its worth noting, she didnt break her promise intentionally, she didnt know what she was promising she hadnt known Kite's name and thus didnt know who she was promising to heal. She would have healed someone for him if she could have, i think, even with Poufs intervention. One could also see how Gon's stubborn and cold provocations that forced Pitou's hand at this point, and made him an unignorable threat. Some viewers are very cold toward Pitou and think she deserves to be brutally murdered by a self righteous immature tantrum throwing child for her transgressions, but i dont agree. I think theres a possible timeline where Pitou and Gon dont have to fight at all, and come to an understanding, potentially, if things had played out differently.
