Back when I was start reading the manga (2006) i was only 10/11 so i couldn't see it but later on,rereading as a I grew up and realizing i was bi,Uo is totally queer coded. Also I love Kyoko being there for Uo,she can totally see her younger self in her (you'll see if you decide to watch the prelude movie after the anime)

is that true? I didn't know "N/M" was interchangeable. So its like "L/R" or "F/V/B"?

Honestly as a bi girl I can tell you that almost all the Fruits Basket fandom sees Uo as lesbian or some type of queer lmao. Same with Hana, a lot of people also ship the two

😭 yeah I feel you. Though the poly option could always be a way to have them all together too. Cause I also like Hana and Tohrus relationship too and that could be read in a certain way too.

I feel like it's mostly her interactions with Hanajima, because they take on the role of Tohru's pseudo "parent" figures in the way they try to look out for her by the time the story starts. They really do feel like an old married couple when they start talking about Tohru amongst themselves.
Like, if you told me they were in a relationship, I'd nod and think "Yeah, that checks out" XD.

From someone who's queer and also likes analyzing queer subtext in old movies....I can say for sure she 1000% Sapphic coded 😭 it's very popular headcanon in the fandom and not hard to see when you just analyze and just look at the character lol

Either spelling of "Senpai" or "Sempai" is technically correct. If you look at the romaji, it's "sen-pai", but when pronounced phonetically, it's pronounced "Sempai". Same deal with words like "tempura". Technically, it's "tenpura" if you go by the romaji, but it's pronounced "tempura". The "n" sound ends up turning into a "m" sound because your lips have to meet to make the "p" sound right after that.
Also, this episode is definitely one of the best in the season. Kyoko is *so* wholesome, and her death hits even harder after actually getting to learn who she is.

One of my fav episodes of season 1, along with 14 and a few others coming up. Wish I could watch now but I'm at work 😭
