One Piece Live Action Season 1 Discussion & Review

Hey everyone! Thanks again for all your support with our One Piece Content! We know this discussion is coming a bit late, but don't worry, we plan to have a batch of Anime Uncut Reactions out either tomorrow or the next day, with edits following soon after, likely in the coming days!

It's been difficult to keep up with all the editing for both channels, but we think once we get started with the Anime, things will get easier, and we'll get more in the groove with things.

We still have a lot more planned for our main channel as well as other content, so we're still finding that balance, and we're excited to finally set SAILS!

Enjoy this discussion and stay tuned for One Piece Anime Reactions!

One Piece Live Action Season 1 Discussion & Review

Comments

I believe only superman is beating one piece in terms of all time sales. I'm very excited for your journey through the anime. Oda is the master at subtle foreshadowing.

IBG_Music

Your react analyzes are the best I've seen on YouTube so far. Looking forward to seeing the one piece (anime) reaction.

Bernardo Mello

One Piece is actually the best selling manga of all time, worldwide. I checked lots of different sites. Every year it changes like in 2023, it's Blue Lock but so far, no one beat One Piece's record of sales.

Budats

This is not a spoiler but just an FYI. In the manga the final saga has started so there now is an end in sight which means people thinking that it will go on forever, that is no longer the case. The story is wrapping up. So what better time to start this journey.

Artemis

Pretty much this. The only way we knew for sure they did or didn't have a devil fruit power back in the day was if we saw them swimming, then we knew they didn't have a devil fruit power. Also, a lot of people seem to be thinking they need to clarify things that were misinterpreted from the live action, but nobody needs to do that as they will figure it out as they watch the anime themselves.

Sloth

Naruto is great but it has alot of dues ex machina moments as well. One piece feels alot more consistent in its story telling and writing.

Artemis

I would not recommend one pace, especially for boldcast, Carson specifically looks at the composition and production pacing of a series and alot of that is very prematurely edited with one pace. Certain endings don't match the music for example and you can totally tell, its very awqward. I think one pace is truly for someone that is famililar with the franchise and just wants a refresher but has already seen most of it before.

Artemis

Ignore those people who are saying that it's obvious whether or not something is a Devil Fruit power or not. They're saying it with the hindsight and experience of watching 100+ episodes of One Piece. Some of them definitely asked the same question you were asking when they watched the series for the first time. Heck, I sure did. It definitely gets more obvious whether something is a Devil Fruit or not as you watch the show, but the show doesn't expect you to understand what is or what isn't a Devil Fruit power until later. The people who said those things have just forgotten what it was like for them when they first watched One Piece and are taking the info they know now for granted.

Looking forward to the episodes! I rewatched the first anime episode a few days ago and it was a lot of fun!

Nicolas LeBlanc

They have a loooong way until the arcs where One Pace becomes more tempting.

Tope

i am sooo ready to see yalls reaction to the differences. looking foward to it

Ej Evangelista

Close enough (e-oh-sama) but don't beat yourself over it, the way it came out was too good to pass on, one of those moments that randomly get a chuckle out of you. Love you guys.

EOussama

lmao its "ay-oh-sama" right? I thought about correcting her but I thought it was funnier for her to try (and I'm not 100%)

BOLDcast

If they're looking to have discussion about the One Piece anime and critique it, swapping to One Pace wouldn't make sense. I will say I'm an advocate of it for Dressrosa

SomeoneElse

thanks man

BOLDcast

Well they hopefully they try it out later, if they prefer the un edited adaptation it's still one piece at the end of the day. But like think of the "Rome" arc 120 episodes down to 50 just by taking out the fluff.

Sascha

Cuts a lot of good sakuga, has errors in the editing, sometimes audio cuts that make no sense, and many other problems. I won't lie, it's a really good and solid fan project but it's more suited as a rewatch IMO. But then again, as long as Carson and Lindsay are having fun, what version they watch doesn't really matter at the end of the day.

EOussama

Why not? it just cuts out filler scenes not in the managa. It's not that bad at the beginning but eventually that fluff is like half the episodes.

Sascha

I don't think One Pace is a viable option for someone who's watching for the first time.

EOussama

Maybe this has already been answered but, when it comes to the anime, will you guys be watching the filler?(Please god nothing but G8) And what are your thoughts on eventually switching to One Pace? it's not to big a deal until way later, and it would definetly add some complications in uncuts, but the anime adaptations pace does really start to effect the quality of the story eventually.

Sascha

Another banger, but that's to be expected from you guys. Lindsay attempting to pronounce my username did get me going 🀣🀣🀣🀣

EOussama

love the setup
