In my opinion while her dad technically did die on the battle field point about her dad from her uncle was really that at the end of the day her dad was like her he cared but deep down he saw himself as different too like she did that's why he felt comfortable taking his child to a dangerous battle field because in his mind like the uncle said only 86 die on the battle field and while I do think it's disingenuous to say her dad was doing nothing it's more like he was never actually planning on fighting just sitting in the back and talking which again is better than nothing but it's the same mistake she was making herself
