Just to clarify something, it wasn't a fruit that Shanks founded, more like the whole crew founded, so Buggy was like, well if nobody want it I will "eat it", and everyone is ok with it cause they think it's funny

Earth has an additional north and south pole (magnetic north/magnetic south) which is what your compass points to. This is different from geographic north and is caused by the molten iron and other materials moving around beneath the Earth's crust.

I love how Oda chose something as goofy as "which is colder, the south or the north pole" to show how different and opposite of each other Shanks and Buggy are, but still, they still shared the captain.
