One Piece Episode 18 UNCUT REACTION!

The WEIRDEST & possibly most important episode yet...

Comments

oda has already confirmed in an interview that the one piece is an actual treasure, its not gonna be "all the friends we made along the way"

logan charman

Zoro looks like he’s silently judging everyone this whole episode. When Luffy invites Gaimon on the crew he just looks like he’s thinking, “Are we really letting this man join,”.

Will.Har310

I just love how I can remember most characters in OP even though we only got 1 episode with them. Oda makes his characters very memorable even if they aren't most fan favorite.

Whoopsie

The One Piece is real!

Foxfire

great discussion but cant go much into if the One piece is real or not for spoilers sake. People saying oda has the one piece ending planned is true and isnt spoilers just so you know. oda answered a fan question at the end of one of the chapters in syrup village confirming he knows what the one piece is as its the first thing story wise he thought of.

Chris Shadow

I don’t really want to say anything about the one piece itself because it’s such a central part of the story it feels like saying anything about it (even stuff external to the story like interviews with Oda) feels like a spoiler and not in the spirit of the show to tell people stuff about it before they have heard the clues for themself. But I will say that one piece as a story does definitely push the value of friendship and chasing your dreams so regardless of what the one piece is or if it exists at all I would say the adventure is its own treasure.

Extra Crispy

I do want to clarify something here that you guys might not know But the "Ending" of this story has always been something that oda has known about since he started writing his first drafts of the manga and so he carefully builds upon the story from bread crumb to bread crumb, knowing were the ending will take him. So its deffinitly not a case of him changing his story during the pre-planning or writing phases of his manga or later down the line like some authors seemingly do like kishimoto. Eiichiro Oda has known the end goal since the very beginning. That being said, "One piece" has been mentioned by all the pirates that know about its existence in the world including Luffy. Gold roger on the other didn't specifically state to go out and find my one piece so yes your deduction is correct there but why do all the pirates of the world give it the name "one piece"? Thats just another question and another mystery that will get answered eventually.

Artemis

Damn, being caught up with the manga and watching early episodes made you notice possible hints that Oda gave about future events

Gino

People have speculated that it's actually something silly like a bottle of rum so Oda may have just said that to throw people off because he made it to obvious but who knows, we the audience definitely don't

Redding Tier

The journey can still very much be about friendship while the end goal is finding some legendary treasure with said friends. The point being made is that the end goal isn't the only thing that matters. There's more to be enjoyed, but that doesn't mean there can be no grand reward or goal Regardless, the further you get in, the more you'll come to have expectations for the One Piece's physicality and meaning :) I get what you guys are saying about the name "One Piece" and it seeming kinda arbitrary, but it'll all make sense lol These discussions are going to be seriously awesome once you're a couple hundred episodes in 😁 Dope reactions! You guys are great 💪

@Artimes what? people already mentioned here that One Piece is tangible, I just literally brought out an interview that Oda confirmed that he wouldn't pull Wizard of Oz kind of shit in the end... CALM DOWN

The first episode that carson and Linsey get to watch Blind without comparing it to the LA. That moment of discovering the unknown, the sense of adventure and the mysteries and trying to comprehend what you just watched. I cannot wait for when they finally get past the live action material. The most unforgivable sin to not include this in the live action.

Artemis

the craziest thing would be if the entire story is just a another story of Usopp's that he's telling Kaya

Tobi.SG

Suddenly everyone sees the Gaimon's episode and were all takinga bout "one piece"? lol Yeah this episode is clear forshadowing but guys be careful, tread lightly in this territory. Remember that there is ALOT of context that bold cast does not have in the story. Please don't spoil and delete your comments if you think you said to much.

Artemis

This episode felt like a surreal experience, as it seems quite detached from the main storyline, almost like a standalone one-shot. Yet, it also connects to the canon. Gaimon is a beloved character in the fandom. He's the guy living in a treasure chest, and in a way, he symbolizes the treasure we've all been searching for—the One Piece. Oda's intentions in this episode raise questions. Was he trying to suggest that the One Piece doesn't exist, and it's about the journey, the friendships, and the memories instead? (Although Oda has clarified that it is indeed a tangible treasure.) However, at its core, Oda seems to be emphasizing the essence of Romance in this story, not just material treasure. The very first arc is named 'Romance Dawn,' and similarly, this One Shot sets the tone for 'One Piece.' I must admit, Gaimon's absence from the Live Action adaptation was my most significant disappointment.

EOussama

It's a bathing suit, a one piece bathing suit. That is the running theory as you know. This is all a joke (it is a theory), but they will get to learn things and read SBS in due time. It is not for us to give advance knowledge or interviews from Oda.

Nicolas LeBlanc

Oda has confirmed that the One Piece is something tangible and not just like the friends we made along the way. Which is unfortunate because if it was the friends then my boi Gaimon would def be the One Piece

Kenneth Lyngdoh

I just need to correct you guys, Gol D Roger does say One Piece in his execution. That’s not a spoiler they mention it multiple times that he says it and in his execution scene.

Kiki Varas

I loved this episode as well when I saw it. Even though it’s only a one episode story I think they did a good job. I’m also loving your reviews and talk🙌

Kiki Varas

Absolutely fantastic post episode discussion from you guys. I appreciate this episode way more since watching along with y’all, I had a lot of fun. I can’t imagine how good post episode discussions will be in the future if this was one so amazing. Keep up the good work 🔥.

J.D.

I can't believe they didn't include my boi Gaimon in the live action smh. Seriously tho, this was a cool and short side-story, you guys enjoying it made it better than i remembered.

Red Division

I got to say you are putting these out glad y’all like them.
