Hereditary (2018) UNCUT REACTION!!!

Comments

also hopefully doesn't ruin it for you but the things that happen in the movie were definitely all real (but also is a big analogy to hereditary disorders that are passed down), what the teacher was talking about in the first school of scene of whats more tragic, being aware that something horrible is happening trying to stop it or everything being hopeless from the beginning with no solution (or something like that) which ties into how the grandma and the other cult members did a ritual to the family so everything that happened was destined to happen from the start down to every detail, thus the pole that decapitated charlies head having the symbol on it was meant to be and also can be inferred that the cult put that deer in the road

theres so much in this movie to disect! theres a whole 4 hour video on youtube that explains literally everything in this movie and its a great (but long) watch, and to answer your question at the end when Annie said that her mom got her hooks in charlie early basically means that Charlie was possessed by Paimon at a very early age so she was pretty much Paimon through out everything you saw of her. Theres also an explanation that that Piamon is a bird like demon and Ari Aster (the director) himself explained that Charlies clicking noise is actually a cluck much like birds make so it could have been Piamon trying to speak the whole time but could only make that noise and also explains why Peter made the clucking sound at the end when he was fully possessed, also if you pay attention to the end in the attic Peters head movements and the way he looks is very bird like with the way he arches his head and looks around. IMO one of the best horrors of all time ill never forget the way the movie made me feel the first time watching. Glad you guys reacted to this and your guys' reaction was great! so many reactions didnt catch Annie in the corner when Peter was in bed and your "oh my fucking god" when you realized had me dying lmao

Carson was being pretty dramatic with that statement I've seen most of the movies you listed

I just wanna say that I 100% got Carson's Genshin Impact gacha reference lol

Patrick Wotton

kill bill . awsome movie with anime influense .

If you like this, then I also recommend Midsommar! It's also very disturbing and creepy in a similar way, and also focuses on the psychological aspect of horror (same director)

On rewatch it wasn't as good as I remember but it had really great acting and was legitimately creepy without relying on jump scares. And the drama was well done too. I bet there are some good "Hereditary" explained vids on YT that make it better because it is quite abstract I honestly can't think of a horror movie that I legitimately love anymore other than Saw 1-2 but I barely count them as horrors. I just want a super natural horror that'll fuck me up

I'm the same and have only seen 1 or 2 of the Jurrasic movies, obviously Home Alone & Avatar once on a plane on these tiny ass monitors in shitty quality but that's it💀

I really good movie that came out recently that isn't a scary one is "everything everywhere all at once" you guys would love it!

I wish I could be scared of horror movies again. I want to unwatch them all and start again. Shit is so fun when you first get into them with friends, BEFORE you know the tropes. Hereditary is thankfully one of the standouts in recent years so I'm keen to rewatch it along with the reaction. I think I completely broke my fear of horror when Slenderman the game was popular years ago. I started running at him to find him first and since then the fear is just fun to me now. I can still feel on edge and jumpscares can get me but the fear just makes me laugh :) I can't remember the last time I wanted to turn a horror movie off because it was scary. I felt like that at times when I first got into them. I remember watching Mirrors at a friend's house one night back in school and OOMG. I was with 2 friends and one fell asleep early so me and the other awake dude watched Mirrors and were freaking the fuck out because he had one of those big mirror wardrobes in his room that was like 3/4 of the wall, all while one friend was peacefully sleeping. What a jerk. GOOD TIMES

Banger choice oomfies (Please watch The Thing too *CopeCopeCope*)

Jesse Vincente

She hasn't seen any classics at all? How about some of the most popular films in mainstream cinema like Jurrasic Park, Back to the future, Jaws, Star wars, Indiano Jones, The dark Knight trilogy, James Cameran's Avatar, E.T, Harry Potter, Titanic, Independence Day, Home alone, James bond films and i can keep going but yeah you get the picture. You would have to be living under a rock if you have not seen any of these.

The thing! I know spooky season is about to pass us up but legitimately it is a great movie that has top notch acting and directing. Besides that maybe just something chill like a ghibli movie. Oh also the new puss in boots movie is really god as well.
