So, I think you're misunderstanding something about the series. This has action, but it's not about the action. The 'bad guys' may be the legion and the republic, but they aren't the driving forces of the story. It's always about the characters. The characters and their relations are the driving force of this series. That's why there's so much dialogue (not really monologues, it's almost always multiple characters communicating). That's what really sets it apart from other action/mech series.

More on the fact that he’s from Giad, the ones that made the Legion so you can see the connection there as to why he would have been hated amongst other 86ers and Alba alike. And thus the title of the show is revealed. 86: a slang term for getting rid of something or someone. In this case, the Republic getting rid of 86ers that live too long.

2023-11-07 20:40:25 +0000 UTCalso, im only on ep2 reaction atm but two things you may have realized or noticed in the reactions since -> first Lenas mother shows up in the first like 4 minutes of episode 1 eating breakfast with her so shes alive (take with that what you will), and Yamamoto (the second composer) is also the co-composer to Sawano in Attack on Titan as well, they both work together on a lot of soundtracks, Yamamoto a lot of the time gets overshadowed by Sawano tho of course because of how well known Sawano is. theyre both great. most non-vocal songs and ambient background music is Yamamoto in 86, while the vocal tracks are more of Sawano btw but they obviously both worked on them together.
