With the way they worded themselves when naming the movie it very much came across like "Frozen" was the reference, but yes, i'll admit the chances of them actually stating it as the reference is a bit unlikely. But on the internet you never know, and the way it's worded some people would missunderstand.

The Frozen film that most people are familar with is an adaptation of the snow queen story. Obvously OP wasn't referencing frozen lol, but it was potentually inspired by The snow queen. That man oda has a library of books so I would not be suprised if he read it. On the other hand it could just be a literal line by usopp, not necessarly related to a title of anything.

2023-12-08 09:32:03 +0000 UTCIm pretty sure that old movie is only known as "The Snow Queen". Frozen has nothing to do with it, nor do i think "Frozen" was in any title of movies based on the old fairytale, atleast not in 1999 when this chapter in the manga got released.

Just a very tiny little homage, and there is also the obvous influence of titanic with the iceburg, but neverless its insane to see how much stuff oda draws inspiration from.

2023-12-06 20:30:20 +0000 UTCGreat reaction we're finally at Whiskey Peak which is what Zoro's introduction scene in the Live Action series was the foreshadowing cause if you remember that guy he killed was Mr 7. Also since you mentioned the 4kids dub it might be worth a laugh to look at a compilation of 4kids changes after you get to episode 145 so as not to spoil yourself. Here are some of non spoilery weird changes they made. to this specific episode. They removed the entirety of Laboon and try to edit him to look like an iceberg by drawing over him and taking the footage from this episode of it and they changed it so that Ussop had the Log Pose all along cause his dad gave it to his mom to give to him and then Sanji says that Zeff explained how they work to him. Also obviously you can't have death in a Children's show so they removed the explanation of the gravestones and changed the name of the mountain to Misty Peak cause you can't have alcohol in a kids show.
