2023-12-07 23:39:59 +0000 UTCBase cursed enetgy reinfoncement works very similar to how Nen works in HunterxHuntre, it generally just boost your stats and makes you hit considerably harder. Black Flash is more close to a critical hit, in the way that vastly multiplies the damage you deal with that attack. Because its such a hard thing to accomplish it also puts in the "zone", giving you a extra boost ( the 120 potential part). Mahito when he gets hit uses his technic to shape his souls around the damage he received basically nullifying it. The only way to effectively hurt Mahito is to hit is to perceive and hit his soul directly , wich Yuji can do beacuse he splits body with Sukuna soul, giving him a knowledge of the soul. Nobara Resonance can hurt him beacuse it makes a link between the body and soul, hurting the soul when hitting the body. Technically there is a way to kill Mahito without perceiving the soul, and that is by running him out of couse energy, since he still need it to activate his technique. But this is extrremely inefective and the damage you would have to do is several hundreds of times higher.

2023-12-07 23:26:43 +0000 UTCBlack Flash ot not, Mahito can't be hurt by cursed energy either, just exclusively by people who can attack his soul directly, i.e. in Yuji's case by virtue of him being aware of the shape of his own, and by Nobara through her cursed technique. This is why Todo straight up can't deal actual damage to him, just like Nanami couldn't.
