One Piece Eps 70 & 71 EARLY REACTION!

Sorry I'm late everyone, it is hinted at that there's no way back to specific islands unless you have an Eternal Pose to point that way, which is one of the reasons the Grand Line is so terrifying to people from the other oceans :)

NickO

Yea I don't really get the confusion. You follow the direction it points if you want, go somewhere else if you prefer and it'll keep reading the island its locked onto until you get too far away. Go to another island and it'll store it's magnetic signal and then point to another island. The logpose doesn't need to point to the previous island, it just points backward at the same time because the thingy that points is a diamond shape, so you COULD go back if you want, but if you go off course then yea the Log Pose won't help you get back to the previous island, but it will keep guiding you to the next island it's tracking unless you go another way for too long

Okay, if you're not in a straight line, the arrow points to the next island, and that's it. Because the log pose is set up to point to the next island, and that's more important. On the Grand Line, you move forward, or simply use the Eternal Pose. Also, you can imagine the movement of a needle that is trying to point on next or last island whole time, but I dont think it's working like that

It will be brought up again, no doubt, in fact there is alot about the magnetic analomies that exist in the grandline that still remains clouded in mystery. Obvously WE have a greater context then carson and linsey but its always been one of those plot points i think oda intentionally left some what ambigious for "reasons". It's one of the many mysteries of the world.

Doesn't work if the ship got steered off course to the right or left. At some point the front of the needle will still point to the next island, but the back wont point to the last one anymore. To my knowledge, the magnetism and interaction with the log pose is never explained exactly like that ever again, so it's safe to assume it was a little oversight by Oda when he first introduced the log pose.

What do you meen about logpose? Needle pointed on the next island. back part pointed on the last island. So before, needle was pointed on the Litlle Garden, oposite needle direction is Wiskie Pick. After logpose set up on this island, needle be pointed on next island, oposite needle direction be - Little Garden

Wait, you're not siblings? But you both have the same great hair! If different coiffures. I agree with Lindsey (in the last video), if Carson shaves his hair he should totally do the Helmeppo first. The pull of the needle between two islands doesn't really make sense, yeah, because what happens if you're blown off course? I think this is a miss from Oda (yeah, I went and looked in the manga, it's there too), because it's never expressed like that again. The dangers of making mistakes in a weekly published series, I guess. The existence of "prehistoric" islands I'm more willing to look at as a worldbuilding quirk though. You could think of it as there being a lot more communication between some islands than others. I love the Usopp and Nami combo, it's so funny. The poor duo with common sense, lol. Don't worry, it's not filler! It's more of a preparatory arc, though.
