I will say I gotta give credit where credit is due. Y'all are probably the only reactors who are tuned into the story. No one else even remembered who kamo was let alone that the thing in geto also used to be in kamo. I thought Carson was talking crazy but I guess not lol

I'll hold strong to my "super dysfunctional family theory(lol)" until proven otherwise, I just think it would be hilarious if Sukuna turned out to be Papa Sukuna, he'd rise to the top of horrible anime dads lists everywhere.

i had the same thought back in season 1 on our first watch. I always questioned from the beginning why Sukuna looks like Yuji when he's just a spirit within yuji? Cause that to me means that that's just what he actually looked like back in the day. But at this point, I don't really think so. Maybe we'll get more info next ep, but I think it was genuinely just a design thing so as to not create confusion or gege didn't think of it. idk though it does seems weird.

Random thoughts, Yuuji looks like Sukuna, and Sukuna started human but became a curse(after death? intentionally?). Pretty sure Gojo said he traversed the ages as a curse(paraphrasing) in S1 EP2 right before Yuuji meets the principal. Choso has 3 parents, and assuming Yuuji does as well maybe one of them is Sukuna and that's why they look like the same person. If we look at it like this, it kinda seems like a dysfunctional family reunion.

I mean Choso is just an awkward “person”. He’s always been pretty ‘resting bitch faced’ and only got emotional in relation to his brother. If he was a full human I would say he’d be on the spectrum. That doesn’t really mean he was stoic per say in season 1 and his fight with Yuji. It’s just that he’s not expressive in any way other than his great affection for his brothers and when he thought he was avenging them he was extra emotional. Even the whole “call me onii-chan” to Yuji is funny to us but Choso is very serious. Yuji is now his little bro and he’ll die for him but also he likes being called big brother. It’s all very very understandable of his personality since he was introduced so idk why Carson found it jarring (maybe that’s not the word) really

here's my read on the Uzumaki explanation (anime only) :
- Maximum technniques are the ultimate expression of one's cursed technique > Uzumaki is the ultimate expression of Curse manipulation, a technique that lets you absorb and control curses, in order to harness their cursed techniques. Thus, Uzumaki would still have something to do with "using a curse's cursed technique" (hence the "extracting" part of it), and not only bundling up a bunch of curses to blast a wave of high-density cursed energy.
- Using Uzumaki by mashing-up a bunch of weak curses did'nt seem very interesting to him i guess : 1/ you only extract weak techniques since the used-up curses are weak. 2/ You fire a wave of cursed energy which, while being very powerful, still can be blocked, parried, overpowered or evaded somehow (as we saw this episode and in 0). After all, it's just a bunch of cursed energy.
- Thus, the point of using Uzumaki with Mahito is : 1/ You only use up one curse since Mahito has immense cursed energy, creating a big blast. 2/ You get to extract his Soul Transfiguration technique to use it for yourself, without needing to summon him afterwards (he's gone anyway). It's a double effect win-win situation

I didn’t mean his desires, just his manner of expression was different and more likeable, less stoic

my bruzza Carson used his Cursed Technique [Strong Schizophrenia] to imagine an umbrella so he can guess this episode early

Double checked on the subs for "extracted" and it is correct! The same is in the manga.

In season 1 Choso says 'The 3 of us are one', and he lives for Eso which shows his devotion to his brothers so I don't agree that his personality was changed abruptly.

Real fucked up part about the Mei Mei scene (other than the weird incest shit) is the fact that she ends up safe and relaxing in Malaysia, the place where Nanami wanted to go and settle down
