2023-12-31 15:29:18 +0000 UTCYeah Wapol felt kind of like a side show character that impeded the more deeper story of drum island and the focus being far more centered around Tony Tony Chopper and the Quack doctor. I think its one of those situations where the target audience expects a villian and fights in every arc because of it being a shonen. But quite frankly he could have been cut out completly and it would not hinder the main story in any way or oda could have considered one of the borokue works members to tie in to the overarching story like little garden. That being said though, the payoff and climax of this arc is so well done as im sure you have seen by now.

He is literally the Aizen of One Piece...don't underestimate my mans! Next few eps oughta be good againππΎ
