2024-01-05 18:42:16 +0000 UTCthe difficult reality is that abusers dont even have to be god for people to be trapped in an abusive relationship. they just need to isolate you and convince you are powerless. you can chain a baby circus elephant to a post all its formative years, and remove the chain as an adult, but it will never leave its post simply because it's been so durably trained that leaving is impossible.
