If you compare how much he grew and progressed as his own person since the first season is incredible, he is waaaaaay more confident, more carefree, able to connect and have friends from outside, he is even more of a jokester now and since he is in a more comfortable and happy mental place, he is able to also help others and pay attention to other people's feelings. Tohru trying to be evil is just so chaotic haha poor thing. About the beginning of the episode where Yuki says in the beginning she was just a stranger leaving in a tent, you mentioned that it never felt like she was, but that he recognized her. Well, she was a stranger but not a complete stranger since he recognizes her from the same class and all. At least for me, it never felt like they had a prior connection besides classmates before. I understand that you can interpreted as the memory erasing thing being a hint to a past connection etc but to me it always felt like they were presenting this aspect as a way to reinforce the seriousness of the Sohma curse and the level of control that they had on 'keeping the secret". It also adds a layer of insecurity because there is indeed a possibility that her memories could be erased still. I'm so excited for the next episode hahah It will be a chaotic one :)
