One Piece Episode 119 UNCUT REACTION!

Comments

In Japanese culture (like many others) butterflies, due to their metamorphosis, symbolize life after death. In Japan specifically though, they are often believed to represent the spirits of the living & the dead. A butterfly visiting your home being the sign for either a loved one or the soul of a deceased family member/friend trying to communicate with you. So that long shot of the butterfly in the Zoro flashback was Toei emphasizing for that to be Kuina – implying that she is, even now, still helping him with his swordsmanship / that he's inherited her will

Mr. 1 is not a joke. Also this episode in some sort of way answers on yours question and complain on LA One Piece where Zoro used only two swords. Basically Zoro started to use two swords and one sword style more often after they set to Grand Line. So in this case of scenario doing this even before didn't break a thing.

Shishi SON SON!!!!

Overwhelming Tactician

🎡i can feel the rhythm of the night 🎡 and now i can cut the moon πŸ˜‚ On a more serious note this is a really great fight and I’m glad you guys enjoyed it. It’s definitely nice to have the intimidation factor hold up all the way through a fight; instead of having them hit the brick wall of luffy or Zoro and get smashed.

Extra Crispy

Yeah it's kind of wild that one of the worst fights in the series got followed up by easily the best up to this point (and still one of my favorites) in the very next episode.

Isaac Sato

Undoubtedly one of Zoro's best and most iconic fights, for all the reasons you guys mentioned. So early on into the series too

What Zoro went through in this episode and him flowing his will into his sword and such is something that will be expanded upon in the future. And as someone who is caught up completely to the manga, this fight is so awesome in retrospective.

I am not a person who enjoys shonen. Fight episodes make me fall asleep. My eyes glaze over. But this episode of One Piece perfectly encapsulates why I love the fight scenes in this story. It's not just about the fight - it's what the fight does for the character growth of those involved. Big fan. Thanks for the reaction guys.

Briana Roop

Hardest and coldest Zoro fight in the series, runner off for one of my favorites period.

EOussama

Dropping these as i get off of work is blissful, got something to watch as i eat

Red Division

Dropping these when I was gonna go to sleep is just cruel

Adam Vialpando

Dropping all these just when I am about to go into an exam is evil 😭
