Maybe it is because I have not seen the show before and haven't read the manga either, but honestly I don't really see that bad of a pacing issue yet myself. I'm still pretty entertained even during some of the "slow" moments simply because of the vibe of One Piece, especially compared to some other shows. But maybe it is also because I am watching it alongside you guys though, so I at least get to hear some extra commentary or funny quips.
