I think people dislike this arc bc there’s little to no world building compared to other arcs. It’s just fun, so yall can ignore the haters. As far as “anime cannon” those episodes have things that Oda wanted to include in the manga but didn’t. So if you enjoy the wackiness of this arc, then absolutely watch the anime canon episodes
