I was gonna say the same thing. At the mansion, Luffy didn’t really know what was going on and didn’t have the same motivation and focus as he does at this point. And to your point, Luffy, like Goku isn’t intelligent by any means and isn’t always the strongest, but does have fighting intelligence: he learns from his from his enemies even when he loses the first time.

2024-07-14 14:51:00 +0000 UTCThe Unluckies are still alive in the series, they were captured by the Marines in Miss Goldenweek’s cover story, but you dont know what happens to them or if the Marines or World Government killed or imprison animal as punishment.

2024-07-14 08:28:54 +0000 UTCYou say that as though Usopp had some sort of bad reputation for lying. Listen, I think I speak for everyone in saying that Sogeking is the most noble hero the world has ever known. And as such he'd never stoop so low as to associate with a liar. We're just gonna have to agree to disagree here, pal. Gotta say though, feels nice knowing Chopper's a fellow true-believer like me. You can join us when you're ready to face facts.

2024-07-14 06:35:02 +0000 UTCMr. Prince and Sanji are clarly different people, but that has never been up to debate unlike Sogeking and Usopp. the only thing that makes me doubt that they're the same person is that sogeking says he's from sniper island while usopp is from syrup village (even tho usopp could've been lying about being from syrup village)

2024-07-14 04:05:38 +0000 UTCI'm not buying it man, we've never seen them in together in the same room, even after so many years. Isn't that a bit weird?

2024-07-14 03:41:16 +0000 UTCSo lots of people make this mistake, myself included. It's true Sogeking's been unmasked in recent episodes, but it's not what you think. Usopp isn't Sogeking, the truth is they just look and sound exactly alike. I know it's a bit confusing but Oda is such a master at misdirection. Remember, it was already confirmed they're two separate people because Sogeking said so on the sea train several times. We all know heroes never lie. And the reason Sogeking knows about the giants is because Usopp told him of course, they are close friends after all. In fact they're so close that even they sometimes act like they're the same person. Anyway sorry, I just had to clear up that common misconception.

2024-07-13 20:06:55 +0000 UTCOne of my favorite Usopp moments is when he boast over Elbaf and how suddenly passionate and loud he is whenever the topic is brought back. Dorry and Broggy really inspired him and reaffirmed his Warrior of the Sea dream. He could finally see it in reality. Rip to Sodom, he was a real one. About Luffy finally landing hits on Blueno I think Luffy is now finally focused on what he needs to do, he knows what Robin is about and he won't stop until he see her safe. More so that his weaknesses are not even on the conversation. When it's for a friend, he will be as strong as the situation requires him to be.

2024-07-13 12:16:13 +0000 UTCregarding the brutality and more realistic depictions of death and violence in a series aimed for a younger audience. Yes you are right about this, how ever, this really was only an issue in these earlier days. As time moves on, audiences have become more accepted to more gratitious material in a shonen publication, especially because the older generation of OP fans have grown and people are not as sensitive as they once were with such material. Alot of modern shonen's today for example have suggestive content as well as more realistic death you would probably never be able to draw in a 1990's or early 2000's shonen manga.
