2023-01-24 05:06:30 +0000 UTCWith what Lindsay was saying about why they didn't add the spores to the show (which makes a lot of sense for a TV show compared to a game) it may be why they added the fungi communication method instead. To me that aspect adds a lot more tension to a scene than just seeing a bunch of spores floating around. Also that beginning scene might be a way of doing world building for a TV show rather than a video game as that felt like the kinda thing you'd find in either a note or a voice recording pickup in a game to learn more about the world.
