We just can’t catch a break

Computer got a virus. It’s looking pretty grim. I’m trying to fix it now, and I hope everything will be fine, but the uncuts will be delayed until tomorrow. If it takes longer or if anything else happens, I’ll update you guys as soon as I can.

I’m gonna try and back up the footage before doing anything else, so at least that will be safe. But if the virus is rootkit we might be in more serious trouble.

Pray for us you guys!

UPDATE1: Secured accounts. Everything is good. Backing up all footage now. Will take a few more hours, gonna go to bed, then scan for viruses and such when we wake up. Unless something goes horribly wrong, Uncuts should be out sometime tomorrow.

UPDATE2: Got the other PC setup to do reactions and work for the next little bit while i fix up the main pc. Managed to backup the footage and videos and stuff, so after we do TLOU, I'll get you guys the uncuts.

I torrented something like an idiot, so it’s my fault obviously. And hopefully not that big but if there’s still probalems after I wipe the drive I’ll at least have to replace the motherboard

Oh crap that is way more serious than it sounded, where did it even come from? And what would worse case scenario be buying a whole new PC?

Computer was acting weird. Restarted. Then was caught in a boot loop Turned it off, unplugged Ethernet just in case. Then it booted to another drive from my previous pc that had windows installed on it. I went into bios and the boot drive wasn’t listed as an option. Restarted again. Checked disks and partitions, and the drive is there, but it is in read only mode. The file I pirated is on that drive, but I can’t access the drive unless I’m in sage mode, and even then I can’t change anything on the drive. So either the malware/virus has infected that drive, and has changed permissions, or because I’m booting from another installation of windows, the administrator persmissions are different and that’s why I can’t fully access the drive. Hopefully it’s the latter because if it’s rootkit, then the entire pc is bricked (at least mobo, all drives and RAM)
