The Luffy in the barrel part is mostly confusing cause the anime didn't fully adapt chapter 1 of the manga until this point.

I also am of two mind about the old man having Conquers because there only 4 confirmed users at this point in the story. Also I hope boa Hancock has earn her respect because she is among the greats and top tier in the one piece world.
