2024-09-02 20:32:58 +0000 UTCIDK if anyone has already shared the info, but Luffy's Voice Actress shared some fun facts abt this in an interview; here is some additional info to begin with: All the SH VA have different opinions/approaches regarding receiving knowledge of how the story goes. Luffy and Sanji's VA only read the script they were given; Nami/Chopper's VA read published Volume; and Usspo's VA read Jump every week (on their recording day). She said, when the Merry funeral chapter was out on Jump, they were recording a funny episode and having fun in the recording studio (Idk the exact time but maybe Foxy?), and during the break, Ussop's VA read the whole chapter and sneaked to her and said 'captain check this out.' and MADE her read the entire chapter. She cried so hard, and when the break was over, she had to reclaim her happy Luffy Voice with so much force

Then you're told by the fanbase that the the loss of it is a serious tear jerking when the last sight of it is just Franky being an ass. Carlson, you may not have cried but you go head down face palm speechless is also top tier reaction content.
