Yeah, I have discord, I’ll probably join. Discussing it here is difficult because you have to be very ambiguous about what your referring to well also interpertating it correctly.

2024-09-13 06:54:50 +0000 UTC@Chocoboshi No i don't care if you are a moderator or not, the part where you said that you were not making a post directed to a specific comment, was my missunderstanding and there for the entire discussion was uneeded because I inititally thought you were posting something that potentually could allude to one of the joke comments. I just didn't reply in detail because I don't want to go on and on about this anymore. Im trying to diffuse the conversation. Yeah views could be different and I understand that erring on the side of caution for everything is probably the safest way to go, but again some comments that have no context, no expectations nothing besides a meme in the community that boldcast would no way ever be able to ascertain without them knowing directly where it comes from, is not an issue as long we don't bring it to the attention. It just triggered me because it looked like in my eyes that you were creating a post, that was pointing out another comment (in which case that OG comment was potentually wrong) but in this case scenerio its probably best to just ignore it because it doesn't really state anything unless someone creates a post like yours that is alluding to that fact. Thats all im saying.

2024-09-13 06:06:33 +0000 UTC@Artemis It's a bit frustrating that the only thing you seemed to listen to was the fact that I'm a moderator. We both don't want spoilers but what you consider to be spoilers (or things that can spoil either expectations, experience, etc.) and what Boldcast, a few other commenters and I think are spoilers are different. Its fine that we view it differently, but why not err towards a more strict rule set? The ability for commenters to be able to post whatever they want is not as important to myself, Boldcast and the majority of viewers as Boldcast's ability to watch One Piece and other shows in the most "free of negative community influence" way as possible. The entire point of becoming a patron here is because we want the most unadulterated version of their take on the show, not so that we can have a more direct method of shitposting at them. I have been saying all this since I became a patron and despite calling yourself over protective you seem to want a more lax comment section that will allude to future events when comments like that have no place here. We have said it so many time at this point that I am sounding like a broken record. The discord is the place for these types of discussions. I don't want to hash all of this out over and over when I could just directly communicate with you there so that we are on the same page.

I think we all want boldcast OP experience to be an enjoyable one myself included deeply but because of our overprotective nature of wanting them to remain unspoiled, it can backfire in our face sometimes and lead to unnecessary drama unintentionally. So I take full responsibliity for this BS, thank you for clearing it up.

2024-09-13 05:15:11 +0000 UTC@Artemis I'm currently the only moderator and Patreon moderators aren't allowed to delete messages on regular posts unless the creators subscribe to some sort of high tier creator plan. The only way for me to currently moderate is with preventative messages like this and hopefully getting to spoiler comments and requesting they be removed before Boldcast sees them. I wasn't posting this in reference to anything on this video, like I said in the first paragraph, I just realized that not everyone could see the other one. I don't know what you mean by drama or toxicity, I'm just trying to make everyone aware of how Boldcast would like the comment section to behave. I would love to not have to make these posts but with my lack of ability here and the refusal of many to bring these conversations outside of regular episode posts I am left with no other options.

2024-09-13 04:27:35 +0000 UTC@Ty I hope your not taking about me, because I have not ever dissrespected boldcasts wishes or rules in regards to "spoiler" content. However i was under the impression that chocoboshi posted and directed to a paticular comment. I of course am only doing what anyone would do in this case, is try to keep them from getting spoiled. From my perspective it looks like its pulling the attention to the comment in question and then makes it an alluding spoiler. Just let the mods handle it if they deem it to be to be a problem which personally I don't think it is, but if so they can remove it. Actual spoilers should be alerted, but these kinds of comments r not a big issue like the " nothing happens" one. Its a joke/meme and ofcourse they will find out in due time what its pertaining to.

Just stop 🛑 There is a discord you can join to talk about any one piece spoilers you want. The Patreon comment section is for talking about their reactions not for memeing or spoiling future events. I once again will invite you to join the discord where I would love to explain in detail why you thought process is rude to Boldcast

If you don't know what I'm talking about that's fine too, I would be more than happy to elaborate in the Boldcast discord, I just want to be vague here for Boldcast's sake while also getting the message to people who don't frequent their discord. There is a joke that is commonly made around this time of the show in the One Piece community, most of you know it. I and, I think the majority of, the community would greatly appreciate if we just don't use that joke and or any allusions to future events like it at any point in the Patreon comment section. We should reserve this space for discussion about either what we like about what has already happened, possibly informing Boldcast on things that they missed or misunderstood (Within the limits of information they currently have) or general discussion pertaining to their reaction itself. If you really feel the need to get a few likes for making an extremely tired joke I would urge you to make them either in the discord spoiler channels or at least on their Youtube comment section where at least the interaction could boost their analytics. I'm not trying to be a party pooper but I truly feel like making these thinly veiled allusions to future events are not something that we need, Boldcast are very perceptive as many of you have noted and they will notice what you're doing even if you think you're being clever. They only get to watch One Piece for the first time once so lets try to make it the best possible experience for them!
