2024-10-08 16:10:39 +0000 UTCit actually isn't the most hated fight. In fact alot of fans that grew up watching one piece, didn't have issues with it or reffered to it as being something that they needed to compare to every other arc there after. If were taking anime PTSD, that goes to the foxy and the davy back fights for most. How ever this is solely boldcast's experience watching these episodes. Thats what makes it entertaining.

2024-10-07 11:29:57 +0000 UTCOne of the better Usopp fights, I just love how for someone who loves to bluff and deceive, Perona out bluffs him using all of her broken Devil Fruit trickery. The perfect counter to Usopp to force on him his own poison. And the only way he was able to break through it is by summoning personifying courage under the persona of Sogeking to the extent of having a back and forth conversation with himself like a madman. I love everything about this from the humor, the clutch moments, the Sogeking theme song down to the place that looks like a Dark Souls boss arena. The ball ordeal lives!!

2024-10-07 09:06:34 +0000 UTCI feel like her powers being directly tied up to his character arc results in a really funny dynamic, so it doesn’t feel annoying. Even if it’s a little drawn out, you still feel like it’s a fight that's worth watching. It's really rewarding, especially after the Water 7 saga. I doubt this fight would be as good if Usopp wasn't the one fighting her. For example, Sanji, Luffy and Usopp fighting the annoying ball guy doesn’t hit because you’re not interested in him, and because from the start you know that he's not gonna have an impact on the characters It could also just be her character. She’s funny, her powers fit really well with the arc, has a great design, etc, etc. That's my take on it, but i'd love to know what other people think about what makes this fight more enjoyable than the others

2024-10-07 08:18:16 +0000 UTCUsopp's matchup for this arc is surprisingly great. As a character who is notably underpowered compared to just about everyone else around him, it's always fun to see how Usopp manages to use his tricks and tools to overcome a challenge. It's also extra satisfying because we just came off an arc where Usopp questioned his value to the crew, and now here he is saving the day by being the only one capable of countering Perona.

2024-10-07 07:39:02 +0000 UTCBy the way this fight is what I've been waiting for to talk about the topics of Dials You guys seemed to have the impression it was a concept that was basically abandoned Back in Enies Lobby, when Zoro and Sanji were transporting Usopp in the underwater tunnel He said '' Lemme explain to you my new weapon '' but he didn't get the chance to finish I think they dropped him or told him to shut up lmao Anyway, we're seen dials used in various different ways to enhance many weapons And Usopp's Kabuto is THE perfect weapon to integrate it into a fighting style that's proper to himself He was cool against Luffy using the impal dial but it wasn't doing much while also destroying himself. Here after Nami's Sorcery Climatact it's applied differently in a way that suits him. And sometimes you can feel like Oda's introducing something just like that when it's actually being applied in a more discrete way. Like Zoro being able to cut through iron but not steel Or Sanji noticing Wanze's fire skates to inspire his own Diable Jambe later on etc Or Franky naming his own body Battle Franky 36 etc

2024-10-07 07:38:45 +0000 UTCLU LU LA LA LUUUU I love this fight Usopp's speciality being tricks and outsmarting his opponent Vs Chu, Mr4 and Miss Merry Christmas or his skills as a sniper This fight really feels satisfying with the progression of his character after Enies Lobby You do what I can, I do what you can't He's the only one with the mindset to fight a ghost using tricks to get to her opponents Btw I love Perona, she's really fun and a great foil to Usopp. Rip Kumacy you were the best of bears.
