Fair, I just think Aang, and Toph for that matter, are a little too young for a serious relationship, and Zuko and Katara compliment each other really well, as you mentioned in the video, Zuko makes all the right decision on their mission together, without knowing Katara very well or them talking very much about it, they're both very mature, and they've both got some darkness in them, Aang does too of course, but he knows how to deal with them in a wise way, where I think Katara needs someone to guide her, who had to learn stuff the hard way, like she herself has, not just bending, but in general, where Aang and Azula were always very gifted. Just my take, would love for you to do an ATLA podcast after you've finished the show, where you talk about this, and maybe do a poll too :)

2024-10-19 02:31:13 +0000 UTCLindsay again with such an interesting observation, I never even thought about with the guy and his mother connecting to Katara’s mother’s lie. I had thought about the parallel between the two and the relationships but never like that. I love this episode for all the moments that Zuko realizes just how powerful Katara is, and just how terrifying waterbending can be when dealing with a master. Feels like he’s gaining a bit of Iroh-like wisdom just by going on this journey with her. So many times he’s just witnessing who he may or may not realize to be this generation’s greatest waterbender display such insane ability. Makes you wonder what exactly he was thinking. Zuko shoots fire out of his hands, but just there he’s witnessing Katara pull off this crazy range of impressive and straight up horrifying powers. I love it.

2024-10-19 01:03:54 +0000 UTCYeah we were gonna watch the next episode by itself and then save the finale. But it’s just so much better all in one

2024-10-18 20:18:54 +0000 UTCTo me Zutara is overrated, people just think they look good together and their like star-crossed-lovers, but Aang and her have built their relationship over the course of the show

2024-10-18 20:16:21 +0000 UTCJust curious, who's team Zutara and who's team Kataang? Zutara vote here :) Feel free to elaborate if you want.

2024-10-18 12:00:44 +0000 UTCWhale Tail Island was mentioned in 2x17 "Lake Laogai". The Dai Li were trying to throw off the Gaang from finding Appa and had that janitor mention that Appa was shipped to Whale Tail Island. Sokka says its very far, almost all the way back home. It's colored white on the map like it belongs to the Southern Air Temple territory. Ember Island is where the Gaang is now in the Fire Nation. Zuko's family owns a beach house on the island and it appeared in the 3x05 "The Beach"

2024-10-18 09:22:54 +0000 UTCLove this one. This is for sure one of the best episodes in the show. So much build up lead up to this, in tiny little bits when you think about it in retrospect. Literally in episode 1 we hear from Katara about her mom. Some of the quotes in this one are also so amazing. I could gush about it forever. Also the next episode I'm really excidet for you guys to see since its probably one of the most innovative recap episodes that I know of. Love how much you guys are into the show. I know we are not completely done with it yet but I already wanna say how much fun it is to watch the show along with you guys. It almost feels like watching it for the first time again.

2024-10-18 07:46:41 +0000 UTCOnly one more episode remains, before the series finale. I deffinitly recommend you watch the entire ending of the series in one sitting if you can.
