I love how much angrier you got when you realized that power wasn't a total ass pull but was actually teased before. Even more annoying is that it actually makes sense in the context of his abilities.

2024-10-19 09:18:16 +0000 UTCYeah oda alot of times leaves things for the viewers interpertations to figure out even when their forshadowed or shown more subtly instead of like naruto and Hunter Hunter, where its explained through inner monologue about every facet of the mechanics and how they work with each scenerio of a fight. Some of that thought process behind the actions and moves is ok but to much of it can be a little overbearing at times. I love hunter hunter, but it tends to get a little to monologue heavy. I am just glad OP lets the fights speak for it self in most cases.

As a kid even I thought he had a few too many convenient powers, and even if that is still kind of true, it's really cool having them teased before they're used as an ex machina. I think it's really cool that having a broken and seemingly universally useful devil fruit like Moria has probably contributed to his lazy demeanor. Similar to how Enels narcissistic attitude and the way he fights, where he just let's thing hit him because he knows he doesn't need to dodge, stemmed from how powerful his devil fruit was. It's a silly show a lot of the time so you're more inclined to take these things at face value (meaning they're not linked the way I just explained) instead of looking deeper but with the amount of things like this that line up in the show, I guarantee they were intentional.
