"If you're facing the wall, I'd like to greet you from the front" man, I love this quote from Brook, really sells his prior declaration "I take pride in being a pirate".

2024-10-31 01:22:02 +0000 UTCThey have mentioned before that they really don't want any type of information regarding future arcs and this is quite a bit of information. I appreciate what you're trying to convey but saying all this right now probably isn't the best way to go about it.

2024-10-30 22:20:53 +0000 UTCif brook died on his 30s then he's been a skeleton for way longer than he's been human, which is really fucking sad. if he didn't have a wanted poster he probably would've forgotten what his own face used to look like. Because yeah, the fruit worked, but can you actually consider those 50 years he spent alone as being alive? and considering how much it affected him mentally, we will probably never get to fully know the brook that lived all those decades ago. to me, it feels more like he was in limbo all that time

2024-10-30 18:31:41 +0000 UTCI always thought the disease that Captain Yorki contracted was suspiciously similar to the Tree Fever/Kinetsu that spread in Calgaraβs village. Similar symptom and location (dark spots on the skin and in a jungle), never confirmed tho.

2024-10-30 13:41:53 +0000 UTCImagine Brook sitting 50 years with the weight of all the lives he was responsible for In a casket Who knows how many people who knew these men were affected by their loses. Laboon being the biggest for us of course, but their family too, where they came from, people they met and all that. While waiting for a miracle to get him out of this misery. He wasn't even sure Laboon was still alive or waiting for them but nonetheless He couldn't afford to doubt him. Brook's story is horrifyingly tragic, which makes his meeting with the Strawhats just as cathartic.

2024-10-30 13:19:40 +0000 UTCBink's Brew/Binks no Sake The song that connect the past to the present, joy and sadness, life and death. This song is such a perfect encapsulation of what a Pirate Life is like and One Piece as a whole. Always gets me teary eyed π

2024-10-30 13:19:00 +0000 UTC''This pain is proof that you're alive'' Brook being a dead walking cadaver, does that mean he doesn't feel pain? Being deprived of any nerves and muscles, only bones, is he unaffected by suffering? Of course notπ Love so much how he as the undead skeleton that he is, contrasts the Zombies we've been facing this entire arc, ignoring their own pain as they literally can't feel it. Meanwhile Brook's been hurting for the past FIFTY years. This whole flashback makes me appreciate his Skull jokes everytime. He had to battle his own sanity to not lose it. He had to accept that now he's a skeleton. He lost his life at the same time as his companions and connections. The only way he found to support the pain was to make a joke out of his circumstances.
