2024-11-11 16:20:33 +0000 UTCMcKinley (leader of the White Berets) had touched briefly on how Enel & all his companions came to Skypiea 6 years ago from Birka – a neighboring sky island, where Enel had killed Birka's god knight (= Ganfall equivalent) and annihilated the rest of his homeland, except for his now-retainers. The Birkans stand out from the other two races of Sky Islanders with their downwards-pointing wings. Such a good episode😮💨

I remember him mentioning something about a tournament back in the early reactions back around Alabasta saying that hopefully One piece will have a tournament or something. I remember thinking back then "if only you knew theyre in it right now"

Sort of like a last moment decision prompt up by an editor. The different of wings that you pointed up was between the Shandians (people of Shandora), Birkans (Eneru's goons), and Skypeans (Gan Fall and his people).

2024-11-11 10:43:24 +0000 UTCyou are going to love this fun fact, Oda had 0 plans on introducing these 11 characters up until one day before submitting the chapter they they were introduced in, he ended up drawing all of them with that detail in an afternoon, by the way same goes for the 7 warlords, he just thought that the name was so cool he had to add them, also do not look for the 11 characters online too many spoilers out there

The people from Skypiea had the wings that were more upwards pointed and the people that came with Enel, from his sky island Birka, had the wings that more closely resemble this Monk dude's. I cant remember if it was explicitly stated that they came from the same sky island as him but they all had this same style of wings.
