Ending on a note that keeps the viewer interested for the next chapter is good writing. Do you want to have nothing cool to look forward to after you end an episode? It’s an ongoing story, so obviously the episodes will often end in hype places so the next one has a strong start or to keep watchers invested. If that actually annoys you more than it entertains you then maybe weekly manga series aren’t for you.

And yeah the editing can take time but we have an editor who does one piece and avatar these days But I have to edit the discussion and we have to have a discussion for each episode. And render the uncuts, and post them which takes more time than you might think. And send them off the the editor It’s not back breaking work or anything, but it changes it from just binge watching a good show to something more substantial

In this regard, I absolutely agree with Sanji Joestar here. These arcs are quite dense yes, but they don't really have a good ending point individually as arcs, instead the stories are connected as most saga's are, which will most likely promote spoilers because people will be inclined to talk about the implications of future events when discussing during the podcast. It’s much better imo, to just wait till the end of this entire saga before talking about any topics at length, that way they can remain unspoiled. If they want, they can separate the podcasts into sections during post editing, if it makes it easier on them to analyze the material, however, they should not record any podcasts until they have completed the saga in full.

They probably already have lol, but you have to understand, this is not just watching material as entertainment. It is a job and It requires a fair amount of work behind the scenes, There is recording of the material in which case you have to make sure your equipment is functioning correctly, then there is post editing for the video's separating uncuts from just regular edits for different subscriber tiers and for that you have to use some sort of video editing software which is probably sony vegas since that is universally the most popular application. Going through hours of footage and cutting out certain clips that you don't want. Then you must convert into the proper formats and finally upload for the audience. All of that is the process for one combined recording session. Imagine that with all the projects they are working on simultaneously Not taking into account the 4 hr long podcasts they do after every saga for one piece and other shows, those are very time-consuming. It is more work then you think. I am doing it as well with my video game content and finding it somewhat taxing to the alternative of just playing the game myself. Those sacrifises maybe worth it though, especially if your earning a steady income and you have a good subscriber base for your content.

One of my favorite things over time with the series is how the context around Luffy saying, "I'm gonna be King of the Pirates!" changes over time. In the very beginning it's very nebulous and seems like just a silly thing Luffy says, but as you get further and further in to the story each time he says it it gains new meaning; as you see the true scope of the world you start to realize how absolutely insane it is for anyone to hold that title. Here you've finally gotten what being Pirate King means to Luffy specifically: being the freest man on the seas. It speaks to a fundamental truth about freedom both in the story & IRL in that one cannot be truly free without power.

One of my favorite episodes ever. Luffy’s declaration that he doesn’t want to conquer or rule anything - it’s the freest person on the sea that’s the Pirate King - is so character defining. (Weirdly I can’t compare it to the Gon scene, where Gon stopped the recording revealing who his mom is. Gon just didn’t care to know, which annoyed me to no end. Luffy instead wants to discover what the One Piece is himself, which is so satisfying.)
