If u freeze frame the moment of the explosion at the end theres a streak of purple shimmer going away from the explosion. Cait at the end looking at the air ducts just like you said and like @astroplace said Powder first line in season 1 episode 1 while looking at a blimp "one day im gonna ride in one of those things" so to a certain extent i feel like thats why they ended with the blimp at the end going away from Piltover(just like her inner voice portrayed trough Silco said "to break the cycle u need the will to walk away"). Also my headcanon of why Vander and Singed's daughter could move even tho every other puppet couldnt is because Vander and her where the only ppl that had both apex hextech and apex shimmer(a shimmer variant made by Singed which he also gave a sample to Viktor back in season 1 when he was meddling with the hextech) mixed in the them where everyone else only had hextech due to Viktor. I also love that Ekko saved everyone, typical boy savior behavior :)) Also im not gonna stop saying it: Vi was the jinx all along. 80% of the decisions she made turned into a cluster fuck and had bad outcomes(mostly for ppl around her, less for her) And Singed was the one that won everything he wanted and lost nothing, the true winner of the war. The true gigachad.

I imagine there will be mention of current characters at the very least in the future series. They've already said some will feature going forward, so there's that to look forward to.

2024-11-27 08:51:30 +0000 UTCit isnt confirmed by the creators whether or not jinx is alive. but back in episode 1 of season 1 when they were all on the roof overlooking piltover powder says "one day im gonna ride in one of those things" as they're looking at a flying blimp which looks exactly like the same one at the end of this episode, so..... SHE'S ALIVE! (time stamp of the scene in episode 1 5:13)
