I added fishing and foraging to have different things to do while waiting for your crops to grow! The code is basic for now, just enough to make them work, but you can鈥檛 sell or use the items yet.
Fishing
Just the usual, find a water source and catch some fish! There are a lot of different fishing mechanics in games, but mine are kind of like Animal Crossing's, just without the fish shadow in the water. I might tweak things later if needed.
There are 3 freshwater fish for now! As the map grows, I鈥檒l be adding saltwater fish too :D
Luan is so adorable when he鈥檚 fishing. He probably doesn鈥檛 have a care in the world, just enjoys the scenery, and if he catches a fish, well, that鈥檚 just a bonus!
Foraging
There will be fixed spawn locations where random forageables will appear. They鈥檒l likely respawn every 2-3 days after being harvested. I still need to code the respawn system though.
3 forageables as well, keeping things basic.
I鈥檝e got 1 character designed for the game (more or less). NPCs are definitely the next big step, but coding dialogues in GDevelop is a bit terrifying, please hold my hand Q_Q
And thats a wrap I believe, I didnt work on anything else this month besides my game and reopening my merch shop. Hopefully I will have more variety next month.
