A peek(?) at v0.1.4

I released v0.1.3 the other day and was happy with the way that it came out for the most part (aside from the game breaking bug that would prevent people from seeing any of the new content, whoops! ) . Currently I am trying to decide which story/stories to go with for v0.1.4, but nothing solid. I will probably start work on the first one this weekend.

One thing that I have decided, after much internal deliberation, is what to do with Bonnie's story. At the start of the game I made her an optional character and I have always felt that this was a mistake. The only reason she was optional in the first place was because I was still just learning about the Ren'Py code and wanted to play around with it. Now that I have a much better grasp of it I have decided to give poor Bonnie a break and make her an official member of the story line, starting with making it unavoidable at the start. This will be a minor code change but will cause anyone who did not take her route to have to start the game over (and maybe a few who took her as well). This is due to a minor code change.

That being said, I really hate the pace of the first 30 days and as such I will never repeat the mistake of using days to time gate the story(I may go back and fix this one day). So for those of you that hate the opening and want to play from Chapter 2, I will be implementing a chapter skip option starting with v0.1.4. This will start with a skip to Chapter 2, and then continue once we hit Chapter 3, 4, etc... Once you skip to Chapter 2 you will start with everything except any optional content (Like Kathy's route). Also note that Bonnie's route will not be required to proceed to Chapter 2, but will be integral to the story in the future, so feel free to start that at any time!
