Mango's Log 09/21/209: She's finally here!
Added 2019-09-29 19:04:23 +0000 UTCFor almost a year I have been writing a fantasy story for a Level 2 series, but not just any series, I want to take my work to the next level with this one, however, two major obstacles prevented me from doing it, the lack of powerful hardware in my PC, and the fact that it didn't matter for how long I tried, I just couldn't put the character I had in my head in a 3D space... until I did it.
This fine evil looking lady that you see here, is Elvira "The Cursed One" and she is my nineteenth and final attempt to bring this character to life, she is exactly what I was looking for.
You may notice some similarity with my character Konna, that's because fooling around this morning with Konna's 3D model, I began to modify it a little, then and a little more, and a little more, and suddenly I found myself trying to bring Elvira to life once again, but this time I was successful.
Now the only thing that prevents me from working on this series is the hardware issue, even when I built a new PC less than a year ago, the only piece of hardware that I kept from my old PC is what holds me back, the graphics card, it doesn't have enough GDDR memory to work on the big scenes I have in mind, and to make things worse, the only graphics card available right now that would be a real improvement in that department, is the Nvidia Titan RTX, a $2500 USD piece of hardware, that's a big NO NO for now. I will have to wait to see what Nvidia's new generation of graphics cards brings to the table next year, until then, enjoy these pictures of Elvira.
