Hi Everyone,
So I decided to tally up the results from the Feedback Survey I posted a month ago since it had a great turnout and some of the responses were pretty interesting. Additionally I just wanted to give a big thanks to everyone who helped give a rating to the game on itch.io, thanks to all of you I finally got my game indexed on the platform!
And without further ado here are the results from the survey.
So while it was close, Mandatory Mentor technically scored higher than Kana Sensei [Day 4] which had a rating of 8.95/10. I won't speculate too much since the difference is honestly pretty negligible lol. But I figured that Mandatory Mentor was better received likely due to the fact that it had a straight-forward game loop and was easy to pick up on, especially for my non-English speaking supporters.
Okay, while I definitely knew that Standard Mode was going to be more popular, I didn't expect an overwhelming majority! Admittedly, I fall into the minor 7.56% camp since I enjoyed the mechanics of Survival Mode more than Standard Mode. However since Standard Mode is where you unlock all the spanking and humiliation scenes, I figured that this might be why it was heavily favored. Makes me wonder if adding new spanking scenes to Survival Mode might change it's popularity..?
As for the Achievement System, the results here were more or less inline with what I expected to see. It's just one of those things where you either love it or hate it with some inbetweens.
Self-reflecting on the results, I believe that this score could have been improved if I didn't "lock" a spanking animation behind it as a reward or if I just released a .PDF walkthrough for all the achievements.

Up next was a multiple choice question and to no surprise, it seems that a good old-fashioned OTK hand spanking came out on top. Small Paddle was a close second and Belt came in third place.
Somewhat related, but I've been experimenting with a tool that lets me import custom materials I've made or modified in the 3D software Blender, so I'm hoping that in future animations or games, I can start including a wider variety of implements!
So the last time I asked this question was back in February 2023 as seen in this post. But long story short, the results were more or less the same! That said, I'm going to continue spending a bit more of my time with game development work, and during periods where I need a mental break, I will work on a one-off animation.
Thanks again to all of you who filled out the feedback survey! I do have a couple more polls planned for in the future, specifically in preparation for the Kana Sensei [Day 5] Character Poll. But since voter turnout was really high this time around, I'm hoping that I can do additional short-term polls to help me gauge what you guys want to see more of.
