Patreon is changing... really fast.
Added 2019-04-30 17:18:55 +0000 UTCPatreon as a Platform is changing, it's changing from being this Crowdfunding / Fanclub kinda place, to a full subscription business model kinda place, and I don't mean physical changes on the site, these are perception changes, the way users look at Patreon is changing, and that's what Patreon as a platform really wants.
The real change will be for the creators, very soon a creator who doesn't offer the right amount of content for the right amount of money will not grow at all, if the creator doesn't deliver the content he or she promised in time and with the expected quality, the creator will not grow at all, If the creator doesn't have the right attitude towards his audience, the creator will not grow at all, actually the creator will lose subscribers.
Patreon will make it official very soon, we are entering the time of competition, and with that the possibility of being a bloodbath for creators, and for users, the best thing that could ever happen, cause competition leads to a better product 94% of the time.
Summary: Patreon will no longer be a Fanpages platform, now it's a business platform, creators must be ready to compete, cause users want more and they want it now.
... Or maybe I'm wrong, that's always a strong possibility.
